Andre's 7/12 It's sunday, and I really don't feel like studying...(probably would regret it on wednesday when I go into panic mode for my IBE exam), Lawrence and I decided to drive down to Fusionopolis - to Jason's! I really have to say I really enjoy this - although we did not really buy much...a cheese roll from Swiss Bake and something I grew to love back in UK. (I think it's more of walking down the sweet memory lane lo.) I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER !!! ![]() Apparently, this is supposed to be a spread that taste like butter - minus the fats & calories . It suppose to retail at around $12.80 for 2 small tubs, but the price was reduced as the expiry date is drawing near, so it's $5 for 2 small tubs! Again, down sweet memory lane as I remember fondly how Lawrence & I used to scour through the supermarkets late at night for reduced priced items...tesco for custard doughnuts, youghurt, sainsbury for eggs, milk bread, salads, sausages & sommerfields for their sausages...We get really excited when we see these reduced priced stuff...imagine, expiry dates for veges! One bad experience though, I bought this reduced price bitter gourd from a chinese supermarket in Manchester's chinatown...2 pounds (= S$6?!), we were so excited, all three of us, Lawrence, Lawrence's flatmate, Lawrence or Dr Loh, Dr Parecetamol, were practically dancing in the kitchen, posing with the bittergourd! Hey, it's really hard to get chinese greens in UK lor. It's only peppers, lettuce, tomatoes in most of the supermarkets..so, imagine when you chance by "xiao bai chye" or "kang kong", it's like whoa! We then proceed to peel off the cling wrap around the bitter gourd....cut it into half...and Ekkk.., it was spoilt! So much hype with the posing and mini celebration for buying a bitter gourd... :) (Funny though, should have capture the post emotions!) Well, back to today, we had fun time walking through the "not more than 5 customers" supermarket on a sunday morning! It's good feeling, really. Not forgetting, my routine cuppa at Starbucks, when we got to laze around a bit more till Andre starts getting impatient as his diapers is quite full and he's really tired. Slept almost immediately when we got back to the car. ![]() Today is also an important milestone for our family, as Andre performed a little something (He is excatly 7 mths today.) He finally learnt how to clap by himself! Great for you baby! My mum is really one super nanny. She actually patiently taught Andre how to clap when I returned back to work when he's around 3 months, how to swallow. Now, he is able to play proper peekaboo, swallow semi solids. He even had his first few grains of sushi when we visited Sakae last friday. I love my boy....& of course, my mum. *Website which I got butter pic from and if ou need more inffo on the butter: http://www.tasteyoulove.com/Products/Light.aspx |
