Adventurous Lunch at Far East

It was really a hot and sunny year end...usually, we will experience more rainfalls than sunshine, but this year has been quite nice and sunny for a change. On this particular day, we wanted to go out to have lunch instead of eating at Newton..so we decided to go down to far east for chicken rice (hmmm, real delicious...for the price of $23, we've got half a chicken, chicken liver, two braised eggs and a plate of vege for 3 of us!) Thought its quite affordable for a place in Orchard Road...After lunch, we wanted to cross to the next side to take a bus back...so we took the overhead bridge linking from far east to pacific tower (I hope I've got the building name right...the one which had the old tower records) yah....then....we went down the escalator....mind you...this bridge + the escalator is freaking old....it's been there since I knew my way to orchard....so down we went, with me right in front, michelle in the middle and Juliet the last....in front of me was a ang moh with a stroller...open....(with baby inside...I thought so initially...)...when the ang moh reached the bottom of the escalator, his stroller got STUCK! Bloody stuck! Hmmm....I was quite calm as I had a few steps behind him, so I thought he would be able to free himself by the time I reach...but he didn't!!!! so, i said to michelle in a almost cool tone..."Take a step up...the ang moh stroller is stuck."...Michelle, first not knowing what happened, second...scream at the back " Move up, move up!"....Juliet, being the last, obviously didn't know what's happening...ran up the steps...with the others behind her....running up the steps, thinking that something horrible must have happened, someone saw a ghost or what...ran for their lives! Me being the first one, was a bit stunned to do much, so I thought..."forget it, die die....I don't have any space to escape liao"...but as soon as I let go, the ang moh managed to free his stroller with the help of his petrified wife. *Hehee.....Juliet was telling us when we were at the bus stop that even though everything was fine, there were still ppl running up the escalator steps....we had a good laff...all the way back...what an exciting lunch....I reaslised that never in my entire career had I experienced such drama stuff...only in Ascott....shift here shift there...living in boxes...practically laughing out our stomach inside out almost everyday....escalator fun...drama colleagues, global experiences....really...its does brings colours to my life.
