Momsy Day This has been 4 days since I last wrote something on my blog as I was really exhausted and tired as I was trying my best to know my new job well. It was literally a knock out once I step out of the office and I was really craving for...my bed! (Not that I don't have enough sleep, but just that my brain cells are D-E-A-D) hee hee.. But it has been fun & challenging at the same time, knowing what's in store for me at my new workplace.. Glad to know that the work week is coming to an end, I would really appreciate a good weekend's rest, but not forgetting Momsy's day coming. I would really want to splurge something on her. Have not thought of it still, but a nice present + good lunch & dinner would be perfect. Really looking forward...weekend...here I come! Friday, 4 May 2007 @ 23:53
Huh....it's already Friday I woke up real early today as it marks the last day of my "vacation", as I am supposed to start my new job next week. So, Lawrence and I decided to travel downtown to settle some of our bank stuff. We were discussing about cards dining privileges when I remembered the restaurant my colleagues took me to the other week for my farewell lunch! Zambuca Italian Restaurant at Pan Pacific! This italian restaurants offers 1 for 1 dining for their set lunches ! Oohh, and we are so near, so we decided to have our lunch there. I had chicken while Lawrence took the dory...awe...the chicken was far better than the lamb chops I took previously ! Hee hee, right choice ! It was way past the lunch hour and we realised that most of the customers had left, so we paid up and took a walk back to Orchard...yes, back where we was originally! Hmm...the lunch was so so full that we were too lazy to shop, so we ended up at Cafe Revive (Marks and Spencer Cafe) @ Centrepoint. Ordered a pot of tea and lazed there for nearly 2 hours..entertained by The Straits Times. =) Though this is not my how I would want to spend my precious vacation, I guess being full and lazy can be the best way to waste off an afternoon... @ 09:04
"A Banana A Day Keeps the Doctor Away!" Bananas in pyjamas, I'm coming down the stairs. Bananas in pyjamas, I'm chasing teddy bears.. If you need a quick fix for energy, there's no better snack than a banana. Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose - combined with fiber; a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. Read more to get more interesting banana facts : http://www.diablocyclists.com/FitnessHealth/InterestingFactsBanana.htm As I was trying to say, banana has always been my favourite fruit, be it a banana smoothie, banana cake, banana milk, or coffee bean's malibu dream! But best of all, I love this japanese snack - TOKYO BANANA ! It's this piece of soft cake that has real banana fillings in it and the sad part, you can only find it in Japan (most of the japanese stores here don't carry them as they have super short expiry dates.)
Back to my banana story, Lawrence & I made a recent trip during CNY to Japan Hokkaido. At our last day where we were at Narita Airport, waiting for our last flight back to Singapore, we caught sight of our favourite bananas and bought 10 boxes back ! (Imagine the customs officers were in front of us, going through our hand held luggages, looking though their computer screens where one spotted our bananas! I guess they couldn't hold back their giggles while asking, " Are these all bananas?" Tee Hee... Anyway, digress a bit. Our Hokkaido trip is not just about bananas, we had fun too, though the weather's really bad.. -20 degrees? Couldn't really help...our tour is called "Winter in Hokkaido"
I'm on the top of the world ..no..just Hokkaido Drink Van Houten Milk Cocoa..gives you all the energy you need. Try it, you'll feel as if you are on top of the world ! (Tee hee..really looks like a drink ad, huh...of course..pro photographer in action!)Thursday, 3 May 2007 @ 17:29
When I have the time.. As far as I could remember, during one of my lectures, we were told to introduce ourselves to the class (As part time students, you hardly get to know one another, other than your project mates.) We were told to say something that can make everyone remember you easily. I think I said, "How I wish there were more than 24 hours a day!) Tee hee.. time really flies...its about 5 months past my wedding last december, and I still have not developed any of those pictures, my trips..(the list is quite long) I love looking at photos. I guess its still one of the best inventions to capture memories, happy ones (cos no one takes photos when they cry!) Since I'm a bit free today..after cleaning up my entire house in the morning, I shall take some timeout to load up some really nice pictures. No Plastic Bags Day This is tea time with QueenBee. Just came back from IKEA,my favourite shopping place. Woke up early in the morning at 8am, after a whole night of trying to perfect my blog template (which I did not). It was drizzling, perfect time to sleep and knowing that my colleagues (EX, i meant) are working away at their workstations...Awee, this is BLISS ! Opps, sorry Man.. =p Met momsy (that's my affectionate way of writing Mummy, if you were to ask) at IKEA. We had lunch at their restaurant. Weird..though the food's not really that fantastic, but you still would get to see long queues at lunch/dinner time. But ya, their chicken wings & potato salad never fails to tempt me (meatball are off my list..) So, after a hearty brunch which consists of 1 plate of salmom, curry noodles, 2 spring rolls, potato salad, 2 chicken wings, topped with 2 cups to breakfast tea, I must say..Momsy can really eat! Thought we were there just to browse and I wasn't aware that momsy had a full shopping list! Metal rack, hangers, quilt covers, curtain cloths, OMG...pots of cactus ! And best of all, we did not bring any shopping bags along! Luckily, the metal rags are just right for me to place our loot in. Here I am, back at Momsy's, sipping hot tea again and unloading my bee updates..Awee..BLISS.. @ 02:11
Good night.. This is 2.11am in the morning. Here's late night with Queenbee again. Here I am, busy learning how to edit my blog template. Oooh, its hard, but fun! Especially, with my favourite songs to accompany me, always FIR. I love this band, full of energy. Know something? On every single day of my exam papers, in the morning after 1 round of revision, I'll blast my speakers with songs of FIR. Never fails to perk me up, but I think its not a good song to listen to now..so, with the finale..here's "Bai Se Hun Li" by Peggy Hsu. @ 01:29
Rediscovering What is a blog? From what I know, it's like an online diary, without the locks. A person's daily log of thoughts being published online. Sounds exciting, unlike the primitive way of penning down in a 100-page nice smelling, coloured book. With the locks, of course! Here it is, its 1.35am in the morning, late night with QueenBee, where you get fresh bee updates. I've got loads to talk about, but more importantly, this is the beginning of a new chapter. I am en route to rediscovering myself. Armed with a new job, great journeys, here I come! |
